Amish Cinnamon Bread Loaves (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Batter

01 - 1 cup softened butter
02 - 2 cups sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 2 cups buttermilk (or 2 cups milk combined with 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice as a substitute)
05 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
06 - 2 teaspoons baking soda

→ Cinnamon/Sugar Mixture

07 - 2/3 cup sugar
08 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Cream together the softened butter, 2 cups of sugar, and eggs using a mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda, mixing until just combined.
02 - Divide half of the batter (or slightly less) evenly between two greased loaf pans. Combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping in a separate bowl. Sprinkle 3/4 of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the batter in each pan.
03 - Spread the remaining batter evenly over the top in both pans. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then swirl the batter gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
04 - Bake the loaves in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the loaves to cool in the pans for 20 minutes before carefully removing them.
