Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Smokies (Print Version)

01 - Little smokies sausages, 16 oz package
02 - Thin-cut bacon, 1 pound, cut into thirds
03 - Brown sugar, packed, 3/4 cup
04 - Black pepper, freshly grated, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Either grease a baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray, or line with foil for easier cleanup.
02 - Pat the sausages dry and wrap each one with a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
03 - Place brown sugar in a large zip-top bag. Working in batches, add a few bacon-wrapped sausages at a time and shake to coat with sugar. Transfer to prepared pan.
04 - Season the prepared sausages with freshly grated black pepper to taste.
05 - Bake for 30-35 minutes until bacon has browned. For crispier bacon, broil for a few additional minutes until desired crispiness is achieved.
