Bourbon Pecan Pie (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 package (14.1 oz) refrigerated piecrust.
02 - 1 1/2 cups toasted pecans, chopped.
03 - 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels.
04 - 1 cup dark corn syrup.
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
06 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar.
07 - 1/4 cup bourbon or water.
08 - 4 large eggs.
09 - 1/4 cup butter, melted.
10 - 2 teaspoons white cornmeal.
11 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Fit crust into 9-inch pie plate and crimp edges.
02 - Sprinkle pecans in the crust and add chocolate morsels.
03 - Boil corn syrup and sugars. Cook with bourbon or water for 3 minutes. Whisk eggs and remaining ingredients. Temper eggs with the hot syrup and combine mixtures.
04 - Pour the filling into the crust, bake for 55 minutes, and cool for 1 hour on a wire rack.
