Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup butter, softened
02 - 1 cup brown sugar, packed
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1/4 cup milk
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 cup chocolate chips

→ For the Chocolate Coating

09 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
02 - Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
03 - Gradually add in the flour and salt, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
04 - Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
05 - Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the cookie dough evenly into the pan. Smooth out the top.
06 - Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until firm.
07 - Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil (or butter) in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
08 - Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled cookie dough and spread evenly.
09 - Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for decoration.
10 - Return the dish to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes, or until the chocolate sets.
11 - Once firm, remove from the dish, cut into bars, and enjoy!
