Christmas Crack (Saltine Cracker Toffee) (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 35-40 saltine crackers.
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter.
03 - 1 cup brown sugar.
04 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
05 - 1/2 cup pecans, chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 10x15 baking sheet with foil, spray with cooking spray.
02 - Line up crackers in rows on baking sheet, fitting them snugly together.
03 - Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan over medium-high heat, whisking until smooth. Let boil 3 minutes to make toffee.
04 - Pour hot toffee over crackers, spread evenly. Bake 5 minutes until bubbly.
05 - Take out of oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let sit 1-2 minutes until melty, then spread smooth.
06 - Sprinkle pecans over warm chocolate.
07 - Chill in fridge 1 hour (or few hours at room temp) until set.
08 - Break into pieces and enjoy!.
