Creamy Marry Me Ditalini Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces ditalini pasta.
02 - 1-2 tablespoons avocado oil.
03 - 8 ounces mild Italian ground sausage.
04 - 1/2 cup sweet onion, diced small.
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
06 - 1-1.5 tablespoons tomato paste.
07 - Kosher salt to taste.
08 - Black pepper to taste.
09 - 1/2-3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth.
10 - 3/4-1 cup heavy cream.
11 - 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated.
12 - Red pepper flakes for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook ditalini in salted water until al dente. Drain, toss with oil, and set aside.
02 - Brown sausage in oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until onion is translucent.
03 - Add tomato paste and caramelize 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with broth, reduce by half.
04 - Add cream and parmesan. Reduce heat and stir until cheese melts.
05 - Add pasta to sauce, toss until well coated. Garnish with red pepper flakes.
