Creamy Sun-dried Tomato Chicken Orzo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Olive oil, 1 tablespoon
02 - Butter, 2 tablespoons
03 - Orzo pasta, uncooked, 1 cup

→ Aromatics & Seasonings

04 - Tomato paste, 1 tablespoon
05 - Sun-dried tomatoes, 1/3 cup
06 - Garlic, minced, 4 cloves
07 - Dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon
08 - Crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon

→ Liquids & Cheese

09 - Dry white wine, 1/2 cup
10 - Chicken broth, 1.5 cups
11 - Heavy cream, 1 cup
12 - Freshly grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup

→ Protein & Herbs

13 - Cooked shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken, 2 cups
14 - Fresh basil, torn or chopped, 1 small handful
15 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Combine oil, butter, tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, garlic, red pepper flakes, and orzo in a pot over medium-high heat. Cook 2-3 minutes after butter melts, stirring frequently.
02 - Add wine and cook for 1 minute. Stir in broth and cream. Bring to gentle boil and cook 10 minutes uncovered, stirring often to prevent sticking. Adjust heat as needed to maintain simmer.
03 - Mix in chicken, parmesan, and basil. Remove from heat and cover 3-5 minutes until thickened to desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

01 - Add more broth or cream if pasta absorbs liquid too quickly
02 - Cover longer if too much liquid remains
