Beef Tenderloin Roast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4-4.5 pound center-cut beef tenderloin roast, trimmed and tied.
02 - 2 teaspoons kosher salt.
03 - 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
04 - 2 tablespoons avocado oil.
05 - 6 tablespoons softened butter.
06 - 6 garlic cloves, minced.
07 - 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped.
08 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Bring meat to room temperature 1-2 hours. Mix butter with garlic and herbs.
02 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat meat dry, season with salt and pepper.
03 - Brown tenderloin in oil on all sides, about 10 minutes total.
04 - Spread herb butter mixture over top of meat.
05 - Transfer to oven and cook 15-20 minutes to desired temperature.
06 - Let rest 10-15 minutes before removing twine and slicing.
