Attach a candy thermometer and cook the mixture, stirring frequently, until it reaches 300°F (approximately 15 minutes).

When the temperature reaches 300°F, stir in the baking soda.

Quickly add the almonds and salted peanuts, then pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread the brittle mixture as evenly as possible.
