Homemade Fried Cheese Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 oz (225 g) block of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese).
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
03 - 2 large eggs.
04 - 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular).
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
06 - 1 teaspoon paprika.
07 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano.
08 - Salt and pepper to taste.
09 - Vegetable oil for frying.

# Instructions:

01 - Cut the block of cheese into bite-sized cubes, about an inch each.
02 - Mix flour with salt and pepper in the first bowl. Beat eggs in the second bowl. Combine breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, and oregano in the third bowl.
03 - Roll each cheese cube in flour, shaking off excess.
04 - Dunk the floured cubes into the egg wash, letting excess drip off.
05 - Roll cubes in seasoned breadcrumbs, press gently to adhere.
06 - Place coated cubes in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
07 - Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
08 - Fry cheese bites in hot oil for 1-2 minutes until golden-brown.
09 - Remove bites with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your choice of dip.

# Notes:

01 - Using cheese with a good melting point like cheddar or mozzarella yields a gooey center.
02 - For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps for double coating.
03 - Feel free to modify seasonings for varied flavor.
04 - To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
