Homemade Iced Chai Latte (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Tea Base

01 - 2 cups water
02 - 2 black tea bags (Assam or Darjeeling)

→ Spices

03 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

→ Other

07 - 1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 2 tablespoons honey
09 - 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
10 - Ice cubes

# Instructions:

01 - Combine tea bags and ground spices in boiling water. Simmer for 5 minutes to infuse flavors.
02 - Remove from heat, add vanilla and honey. Stir until honey dissolves. Remove tea bags and vanilla pod if used.
03 - Let the chai mixture cool to room temperature. For faster cooling, place in an ice bath.
04 - Froth milk using a frother or by shaking in a sealed jar. Alternatively, warm slightly and whisk.
05 - Fill glass with ice, pour cooled chai to 2/3 full, top with frothed milk. Add vanilla extract here if using instead of bean.
