Jalapeño Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 medium jalapeños, halved and seeded.
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
03 - 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.
07 - 1 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded.
08 - 6 strips bacon, cooked.
09 - 4 slices Texas toast.
10 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 425°F. Brush peppers with oil. Roast 15 minutes until charred. Cool and chop.
02 - Mix cream cheese with seasonings. Fold in chopped jalapeños.
03 - Butter outside of bread. Spread cream cheese mix inside. Add bacon and cheddar. Top with second slice.
04 - Heat skillet to medium. Grill 3-5 minutes per side. Cook until golden and cheese melts.

# Notes:

01 - Can prep jalapeños ahead.
02 - Use room temp cream cheese.
03 - Fresh grated cheese melts better.
04 - Adjust spice by leaving some seeds.
05 - Serve immediately while hot.
