Easy Marbled Christmas Sugar Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup butter, room temperature.
02 - 1½ cups powdered sugar.
03 - 1 large egg, room temperature.
04 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
05 - 3 cups all-purpose flour.
06 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
07 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt.
08 - 2 teaspoons water (if needed).
09 - 2½ cups powdered sugar (for icing).
10 - 1¼ tablespoons meringue powder.
11 - 3-4 tablespoons lukewarm water.
12 - ¼-1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract.
13 - Gel food coloring (red, green, blue).

# Instructions:

01 - Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Mix in sifted dry ingredients until combined.
02 - Form dough into 2 discs, wrap in plastic. Chill 30 minutes.
03 - Roll dough ¼ inch thick, cut shapes. Bake at 350°F for 9-10 minutes until edges golden.
04 - Beat powdered sugar, meringue powder, water and extract until proper drizzling consistency.
05 - Divide icing, swirl colors with toothpick. Dip cookies, let excess drip off. Let set 2 hours.
