Mongolian Beef Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef.
02 - 4 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced.
03 - 6 garlic cloves, minced.
04 - 1/2 cup brown sugar.
05 - 1/2 cup beef broth.
06 - 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce.
07 - 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional).
10 - 10 ounces noodles (linguine or spaghetti).
11 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
12 - 2 tablespoons water.
13 - 4 medium green onions, sliced.

# Instructions:

01 - Brown ground beef in large skillet.
02 - Add ginger and garlic last 2 minutes. Break up meat while cooking.
03 - Cook pasta without salt.
04 - Drain beef and return to pan.
05 - Add to beef: Soy sauce, Beef broth, Brown sugar, Red pepper flakes, Black pepper, Hoisin sauce.
06 - Mix cornstarch with water. Add to beef mixture. Cook until sauce thickens.
07 - Add drained noodles. Mix well. Let sit few minutes to absorb sauce.
08 - Top with green onions.

01 - Ready in 30 minutes.
02 - Can reduce sugar to taste.
03 - Use low-sodium sauces to control saltiness.
04 - Great with added vegetables.
