Oven Fried Potatoes & Onions (Print Version)

01 - 5 pounds red potatoes, thinly sliced or cubed
02 - 1 onion, finely chopped
03 - 6 slices bacon, chopped
04 - ½ cup butter, diced
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F). Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
02 - Place potatoes in an even layer in the greased dish. Sprinkle onion and bacon over the potatoes, then dot the surface with butter. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
03 - Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and stir the potatoes.
04 - Turn the oven to the broiler setting and allow the potatoes to brown for approximately 5 minutes, stirring every minute for even browning.
05 - Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
