Homemade Salisbury Steak with Gravy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Patties

01 - 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
02 - 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
05 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
10 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Gravy

11 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
12 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
13 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
14 - 2 cups beef broth
15 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
16 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
17 - Salt and black pepper to taste
18 - 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
19 - Fresh parsley for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings gently. Shape into 4 oval patties
02 - Sear patties 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Set aside
03 - Melt butter, cook onions 8-10 minutes until golden
04 - Add flour to onions, then gradually whisk in broth and seasonings until thickened
05 - Return patties to gravy, simmer covered 10-12 minutes until done (160°F)
