Slow Cooker Baked Ziti (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef.
02 - 1 onion, finely chopped.
03 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic.
04 - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
05 - 1 teaspoon dried basil.
06 - 1 teaspoon dried parsley.
07 - 28 ounce can diced tomatoes.
08 - 650ml jar pasta sauce (2 1/2 cups).
09 - 2 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth.
10 - 375 gram box penne or ziti pasta.
11 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic and seasonings, cook 1 minute.
02 - Add meat mixture, tomatoes, sauce and broth to slow cooker (4qt or larger). Stir.
03 - Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
04 - Turn to high, add pasta and stir. Cook 15-30 minutes more.
05 - Top with cheese, cover 3-5 minutes until melted.

# Notes:

01 - Can skip browning meat to save time.
02 - Can use any ground meat.
03 - Pasta cooks directly in sauce.
04 - Check pasta at 15 minutes.
