Slow Cooker Candied Yams (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 lbs red garnet yams.
02 - 1½ cups water.
03 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
05 - ¼ teaspoon ground cloves.
06 - ⅛ teaspoon salt.
07 - ½ cup melted salted butter.
08 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
09 - 1 tablespoon molasses.
10 - 1½ cups brown sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Peel yams and slice into 1 inch slices. Place in slow cooker.
02 - Whisk water and cornstarch together. Add to slow cooker with butter, molasses, vanilla, spices, and salt.
03 - Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours without opening lid.
04 - Add brown sugar and gently stir after cooking is complete.

# Notes:

01 - Can keep on warm 2-3 hours.
02 - Can add marshmallows at end.
03 - Keeps in fridge up to 5 days.
