Put carrots in slow cooker.

Add salt, cinnamon, sugar. Mix gently.

Pour syrup over. Toss to coat.

Put butter chunks on top. Cover.

Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5-6 hours. Stir once or twice.

For the last 30 minutes, remove lid and increase heat to high to thicken sauce.

Alternatively, put carrots in a bowl and cook sauce in a pan for 5 minutes till thick, then pour back over the carrots.
