Slow Cooker Maple & Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds baby carrots.
02 - 1/2 spoon salt.
03 - 1/2 spoon cinnamon.
04 - 1/4 cup brown sugar.
05 - 1/4 cup maple syrup.
06 - 1/3 cup butter, cut up.

# Instructions:

01 - Put carrots in slow cooker.
02 - Add salt, cinnamon, sugar. Mix gently.
03 - Pour syrup over. Toss to coat.
04 - Put butter chunks on top. Cover.
05 - Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5-6 hours. Stir once or twice.
06 - For the last 30 minutes, remove lid and increase heat to high to thicken sauce.
07 - Alternatively, put carrots in a bowl and cook sauce in a pan for 5 minutes till thick, then pour back over the carrots.

# Notes:

01 - Can use honey instead of maple syrup.
02 - Pan method makes better thick sauce.
03 - Regular carrots work too - just cut up.
