In a large mixing bowl, combine the gelatin powder with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and stir to combine. Stir in the vodka (or Irish whiskey) until well mixed. For a more vibrant green color, add a few drops of green food coloring.

Arrange your shot glasses or small plastic cups on a baking sheet for easy transport. Carefully pour the jello mixture into the shot glasses, filling them about 3/4 of the way full.

Refrigerate the jello shots for at least 2-4 hours, or until fully set.

Once set, remove the jello shots from the refrigerator. Add a dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkle of green sprinkles, or a mini shamrock candy to each shot for a festive touch. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.
