Teriyaki Zucchini (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 3 medium zucchini
02 - 1 medium sweet onion, coarsely chopped

→ Sauce Components

03 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
04 - 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

→ Seasonings

06 - 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, adjust to your spice preference
07 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

→ Optional Additions

09 - 1 tablespoon butter, for extra richness at the end

# Instructions:

01 - Slice each zucchini into 2-inch long pieces, then cut each piece into 6 wedges, creating perfect bite-sized morsels that will absorb all the delicious flavors.
02 - Warm the vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers, creating the perfect foundation for our stir-fry.
03 - Add your prepared zucchini and chopped onion to the hot pan, allowing them to sizzle and begin to soften for about 2 minutes.
04 - Pour in the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. The sauces will immediately begin to caramelize, coating your vegetables with a beautiful glaze.
05 - Continue cooking for 4-5 more minutes, stirring occasionally, until the zucchini reaches your preferred tenderness - still slightly firm or meltingly soft, it's your choice!
06 - Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, giving your dish a nutty crunch and visual appeal. If desired, stir in a tablespoon of butter for extra richness and shine.
