Combine cherries, water, and sweetener in pot over medium heat. Simmer while stirring and pressing cherries until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens.

Strain mixture into resealable container, removing cherries. Let cool completely.

Fill glass with ice and add cherry syrup to taste.

Froth almond milk and creamer together (optional), then add to glass.
