Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 180g semi sweet chocolate chips (1 cup).
02 - 113g unsalted butter (8 tbsp).
03 - 24g dutch processed cocoa powder (1/4 cup).
04 - 200g granulated sugar (1 cup).
05 - 2 eggs.
06 - 80g all purpose flour (2/3 cup).
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
08 - 113g unsalted butter (8 tbsp) for cookies.
09 - 100g dark brown sugar (1/2 cup).
10 - 50g granulated sugar (1/4 cup).
11 - 1 egg, room temperature.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
13 - 160g all purpose flour (1 1/3 cup).
14 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
15 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
16 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
17 - 130g semi-sweet chocolate (3/4 cup).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat until amber with brown specks. Transfer to bowl ensuring 90g remains.
02 - Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C. Butter and line 8-inch square pan with parchment.
03 - Melt chocolate and butter together. Add cocoa powder. Whisk eggs and sugar separately until fluffy. Combine mixtures, then fold in flour and salt.
04 - Mix sugars into brown butter. Add egg and vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients and chocolate just until combined.
05 - Layer half brownie batter, then 2/3 cookie dough flattened, remaining brownie batter, and scatter remaining cookie pieces. Bake 40-45 minutes until edges set.

01 - Middle should be slightly wobbly when done.
02 - Cool completely before serving.
03 - Using oven thermometer recommended.
