Christmas Thumbprint Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 - ½ cup granulated sugar.
03 - ¼ cup brown sugar, packed.
04 - ¼ teaspoon sea salt.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 2 ½ cups all purpose flour.
07 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
08 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
09 - 2 tablespoons dutch processed cocoa powder.
10 - ½ cup granulated sugar for coating.
11 - ½ cup seedless jam for filling.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add salt, egg, and vanilla. Beat well.
02 - Sift flour and baking powder into bowl. Fold until dough forms.
03 - Remove half of dough. Add cocoa powder to remaining dough and mix until incorporated.
04 - Scoop 1½ tablespoon balls, roll smooth. Coat in toppings. Make thumbprint indentation.
05 - Fill indents with jam or preferred filling. Bake at 355°F for 8-10 minutes. Add post-bake toppings like chocolate while hot.

# Notes:

01 - Best made and baked same day.
02 - Don't overbake or cookies will be hard.
03 - Add chocolate toppings after baking.
