Pesto Prosciutto Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread & Butter

01 - Sourdough or crusty bread, 2 thick slices
02 - Butter for spreading

→ Cheese & Protein

03 - Fresh mozzarella, 1/2 ball
04 - Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or gruyere), 1 handful
05 - Prosciutto, 3 slices

→ Herbs & Seasonings

06 - Fresh basil pesto, 2 tablespoons
07 - Fresh basil leaves, 4-5
08 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Get your pan warming over low-medium heat. Take your first slice of bread, spread butter on one side, then flip it butter-side down on your work surface.
02 - Build your sandwich by layering shredded cheese, prosciutto, sliced fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, and pesto. Season with salt and pepper, then top with your second slice of bread. Butter the outside of that top slice.
03 - Place your sandwich in the warmed pan and let it cook slowly for about 5 minutes on each side. You're looking for that perfect golden-brown crunch on the outside with melty, gooey cheese inside.
